Match Up: Falmouth United vs Harbour View FC
The fairly-new Falmouth United club is led by Ky-mani and Rohan Marley, and has been creating waves in the parish of Trelawny, along the North Coast, and within the Jamaican football fraternity. Falmouth United is a Trelawny-based team participating in the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) Tier 2 Competition. Falmouth United FC defeated Tru-Juice FC 2-1 in St. Catherine last week in the preliminary round of the Lynk Cup to advance to the round of 16.
Falmouth United were highly touted to be one of the Tier 2 clubs promoted to the Jamaica Premier League last season. They are expected to be very competitive team in the LYNK Cup, as proven in a November 2019 friendly game against Harbour View FC at ‘The Compound’ and recently within the Tier 2 competition.
Harbour View’s technical team will no doubt be taking the knockout game seriously and looking to rotate the squad which is building momentum in the second round of the Jamaica Premier League. After a draw with Tivoli Gardens FC, the team is currently in fourth position with the top 3 in touching distance and 7 games to go before the playoff round.
We look forward to seeing and entertaining our die-hard supporters and football fans during the early afternoon fixture at the Edward Seaga Sports Complex.
