A giant display of the 2014 FIFA World Cup official match ball, the Adidas Brazuka, is now in Jamaica in anticipation of the upcoming World Cup games.
On its first stop and exhibition started today, the ball is mounted atop of our stadium roof at the front to be most visible from the two Harbour View Main Roads.
It is about 8-9 feet in diameter and weighing about 400 lbs, sitting on a 2 foot base. It eventually will go to the CVM Television Station, which will have the World Cup LIVE Coverage on Thursday, June 12 to Sunday, July 13th, 2014.
Thank you to club sponsors and builders of the stadium, CFC Construction Company, for the safe transport and assembly. This is the first exhibition of its kind at a football club in Jamaica and the Caribbean, and it started at ours. HVFC is proud to be the only authorized Adidas Club for the last five years.
