Those chants were however few and far between, the Waterhouse die-hards were hard pressed to support their dearly beloved gladiators as the pressured their opponents best only for a short while early in the second half when they fired shots from every angle of the penalty area but could not undo a stubborn defensive unit comprising five youthful players.

Goalkeeper, Dwayne Miller was truly outstanding blunting no fewer than four torrid shot on target with his calm authoritative demeanor worthy of his National selection.

The real game unfolded at the other end of the field as a 21st minute strike from Marcelino Blackburn ghosting in between a host of defenders marking the strikers he popped up on the end of a smart Kevin Wooley cross to score.

Blackburn turned provider after 59 minutes when he won back the ball from an undecisive defender to shunt it left to the streaking Kavin Bryan for him to slam a left-footed scorcher past Richard McCallum.

Five minutes later substitute Girvan Brown showed his worth immediately as he headed on Wooley’s cross to Rafiek Thomas waiting head at the far post as the Waterhouse defenders chased air to kill-off the game and advance to the first End of Round Final on Sunday, November 23rd at the National stadium.

The opponent will be decide on Sunday after HVFC travels to champions Portmore United at 3pm.
