Another below par display by the team at home has marked a string of two defeats in a row as again the team failed to spark, coordinate, score or achieve any points to lose points advantage atop of the league, now reduced to only 2 points over Tivoli Gardens FC and the chasing pack of four teams within 5 points.
The cold wintery climate must have bitten the creative juices of the team as their ordinary display was never going to raise the temperatures of the fans who came out to see their team extend its lead, but left as disgruntled supporters who rued another home game lost…leaving more questions than answers.
A less than interesting first half was highlighted by Village United goalkeeper Elvis Hart’s, continued antics of being injured and requesting treatment, time after time following every save from five (5) feeble attacks on his goal.

The second half saw Village snatch the lead when a well weighted pass down the right flank freed up young Dino Williams whose accurate shot lodged inside the far post after 74 minutes to register the all important strike.

Three substitutions, including the return of striker Kavin Bryan helped add vigor to the attack but they were restrained by the alert Village United team to win by 1-0.

On Sunday, HVFC plays against Arnett Gardens FC at the Harbour View Stadium.
