Jamaica’s Head Coach Winfried Schaefer has named the final 23-member squad for the historic Copa America Centenario to be held in the United States, from June 3 to 26.

The Portmore United pair of Damano Solomon and Michael Binns, and Cavalier SC’s Chevone Marsh, Humble Lion FC’s Andrew Vanzie, Harbour View FC’s Rosario Harriott, and Montego Bay United’s Allan Ottey are the local-based players called.

All other players ply their trade in either Europe or North America.

Outside of goalkeeper Andre Blake, midfielder Rodolph Austin and Leicester City’s English League winning captain Westley Morgan, the players named in the Copa America squad are to travel to Chile for their international friendly against the hosts on Friday.

The Jamaica-based members of the delegation are set to depart for Chile tomorrow afternoon.

After the practice game against Chile, the Reggae Boyz will be engaged in a preparation camp in Florida, United States, starting May 29.

Jamaica qualified for the Copa America by virtue of being Caribbean Football Union title-holders.

They are drawn in Group C alongside Venezuela, many-time COPA America winners, Uruguay and CONCACAF champions, Mexico.

Schaefer’s team is scheduled to play its first game against Venezuela on June 5 at Soldier Field Stadium in Chicago.

Jamaica squad — Andre Blake, Ryan Thompson, DuWayne Kerr, Damano Solomon, Michael Hector, Westley Morgan, Rosario Harriott, Dever Orgill, Chevone Marsh, Clayton Donaldson, Giles Barnes, Joel McAnuff, Andrew Vanzie, Michael Binns, Allan Ottey, Je-Vaughn Watson, Lee Williamson, Rodolph Austin, Simon Dawkins, Adrian Mariappa, Kemar Lawrence, Jermaine Taylor, Garath McCleary.

Rosario Harriott had six call ups to the national team before getting his first cap in November 2015 as a part of the starting XI in a friendly against South Korea.

Rosario is a defender who naturally plays the rightback position. He came to Harbour View in the 2014-15 transfer window and this season had 26 appearances, 2296 minutes of playing time, and scored 2 game-winning goals both against Waterhouse FC. His season concluded with a highlight after being named to the Professional Footballers Association of Jamaica’s team of the year.
