The Coca-Cola National U-21 League leaders, Harbour View, clash with 7th place Boy’s Town at the Harbour View stadium on Friday at 6:00 pm. Presently enjoying an eight game unbeaten run and a six point lead at the top of the standings, and Coming off a very impressive 4-0 drubbing of Seba United at the Compound last week, the “Stars of the East” will be very hard to beat. However, “The Red Brigade” will be no push over as they are fresh from an easy 3-1 upset win over Waterhouse at Druesland last Friday.

Fifth placed Tivoli Gardens journey to Druesland to meet a wounded Waterhouse team that have a big score to settle having been trashed 5-0 by TG last November at the Edward Seaga Complex. The 4:00 pm game is billed as the feature game of the round, and will see sponsors, Coca-Cola, conduct its special promotions and give-a-ways from the very popular Coca-Cola refreshment tent.

Sporting Central Academy host St. George’s of Portland at Brancourt at 3:30 pm in what should be a keen tussle as both teams played to a 1-1 draw in their last meeting. In fourth with 30 points, a win for St. George’s coupled with a Waterhouse loss could push the Lynch Park team to a clear third in the standings.

Reno meets Village United at Frome at 3:30 pm and should see Reno prevailing against the struggling Villagers. Reno edged Village United 1-0 last November at the Elliston Wakeland Center. August Town play away to Arnett Gardens at the Tony Spaulding Complex at 5:00 pm. With Arnett on a four game loosing streak, and failing to honour their fixture last weekend, this encounter may present August Town with a good opportunity to pick-up their second win of the season.

After a lean spell, Portmore United have regained their form and have scored three 1-0 wins in a row. This weekend they play away to Seba United at Jarrett Park (3:30 pm), and are taken to snatch all three points and keep pace at the top with Harbour View.

In last week’s games, Harbour View easily defeated Seba United 4-0 in a very entertaining game at the Compound. National invitee, Lance Laing, scored a thirty-yards strike that must surely be the goal of the Coca-Cola National U-21 League season. Laing’s goal was such a beauty that it is reminiscent of those wonderful goals scored by the Brazilian international left back, Roberto Carlos. Marvin Munday, Andre Fagan, and Girvan Brown completed the scoring for HVFC.

At the UWI Bowl, James Thomas and Ashton Bennett gave Portmore United a 2-0 half-time lead over August Town. Josimar Campbell pulled one back for August Town in the 81st minute, and national representative, Ricardo Cousins, made it 3-1 for Portmore in the 90th minute. It was Cousins second goal since his return to the team from the recent Jamaica national team training in Brazil.

The once red-hot Waterhouse train hit another bump in the road when they were humbled 3-1 by Boy’s Town at Collie Smith Drive. Peter Keys scored a brace for BT in the 26th and 54th minute, Jahmali Spence scored his league leading twelfth goal in the 62nd minute to make it 2-1 Boy’s Town, and in the 73rd minute, Shamar Small sealed the issue 3-1 for the winners.

At the Eddie Seaga Sports Complex, a 18th minute strike by Jermaine Allen gave Tivoli Gardens a well deserved 1-0 win over Sporting Central Academy. And, at Lynch Park, St. George’s edged Reno 1-0 on Dennis McNeish’s 81st minute goal. Arnett Gardens reportedly failed to show for their game with Village United at the Elliston Wakeland Center.
