The Coca-Cola National U-21 Premier League continues on Thursday at Jarrett with a double-header brought forward from Friday. In the opening game at 4:00 pm, 11th place Village United clash with 6th place Sporting Central Academy, while in the 6:00 pm feature, 10th place Seba United host 9th place Arnett Gardens.

While none of these games will impact on the outcome of the U-21 title, an expected win for Sporting Central would see them leap to 4th in the standings. In their last meeting in November, Village United traveled to Brancourt where they ambushed Sporting Central 2-0.

In the Jarrett Park feature game, Arnett Gardens will be playing for pride as a win will push them to 7th place, if only temporarily, and would also confirm their dominance over Seba having trashed them 4-0 at the Tony Spaulding Complex in the first round.

In the feature game of the round on Friday, Portmore United welcome leaders Harbour View under the lights of Ferdie Neita Park in a must win game for the host. With six points clear at the top of the tables and only three games remaining, a win or a draw for “The Stars of the East” will see then being crowned 2007-2008 Coca-Cola National U-21champions with two games to spear.

Both teams are playing at the top of their game at the moment with Portmore United enjoying a four game win streak, while Harbour View is unbeaten in their last nine game, and have also won their last four games. The psychological advantage must belong to Harbour View as the last time the teams met at the Compound in November, Harbour View were easy 3-0 winners. Nevertheless, Portmore United are playing at home, and are expected to field the big guns for this all important encounter, and they will be led by Reggae Boyz, Ricardo Cousins, who has scored in Portmore’s last three wins.

In other games on this Friday, Boy’s Town and Tivoli renew their old rivalry at Collie Smith Drive at 3:30 pm, and Tivoli must have sweet revenge on their mind as “The Red Brigade” edged them 1-0 at the Edward Seaga Complex in the first round.

Waterhouse, led by the league’s leading goal scorer, Jahmali Spence (12 goals), travels to Lynch park to meet St. George’s at 3:30 pm. Waterhouse trashed St. George’s 3-0 at Drewsland in the first round. And, August Town awaits Reno at the UWI Bowl at 3:30 pm. Both teams played to a 0-0 draw in their first round meeting.
