The HVFC Technical Committee under the authority of Chairman, Carvel Stewart has confirmed the appointment of our Senior Technical Team. Led by Head Coach, Ludlow Bernard and assisted by two former HVFC and Reggae Boyz players, Donald ‘Foulie’ Stewart and Ricardo ‘Bibi’ Gardner for the new Red Stripe Premier League season 2015-16 tentatively scheduled to restart in early September.
Mr Bernard has over thirty years successful experience at the club with our Academy (Junior) Teams before gaining two months experience this year at the Premiership with both assistants to finish fifth. He is a certified JFF Advance Level Two Coaching Course graduate, winning the Walker Cup twice in three years recently at Wolmer’s Boys and now takes the reins at his Alma mater, Kingston College.
Donald Stewart is also a certified JFF Advance Level Two Coaching Course graduate, who assisted his former Reggae Boyz Coach Bradley Stewart last season at Calabar High School in the Manning Cup, Andre Virtue at the Ballaz Academy, and was recently named as assistant to Reggae Boyz and Jamaica College Coach, Miguel Coley in the upcoming schoolboy Manning Cup season.
The legendary, Ricardo ‘Bibi’ Gardner needs absolutely no introduction but this new phase of his football life cycle embraces coaching, where he is certified as an England-based Advance Level Two practitioner and goes back to Britain during this summer for two weeks to start his Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) ‘B’ License qualification.
Completing the team is Team Manager, Mrs. Karen Lumsden, and Physical Trainer Mr. Neville Myton, an Olympian and Excelsior High School’s world Junior 880 yards record-holder for more than fifty years, who previously prepared the squad.
