UNDER 21:

Two late goals, one to either team meant the game climaxed after minute 83 to a grand finale but Arnett’s earlier strike eclipsed the challenge of Harbour View in a 2-1 contest.

Arnett on 33 points, moved up to second in the league while Harbour View on 24 points remained in fifth position.

PREMIER LEAGUE:

Richard “Shortman” Edwards slotted home from a pass laid back for him by the industry of Richard West who robbed the defender unexpectedly to setup the deadly strike that eventually secured a vital victory.

His second goal for the season, he calmly side-footed his 18 yard effort away from all defenders as his relieved teammates hugged him while shinning his bald-head with much delight.

On an afternoon when the “Stars of the East” were again dominant from start to finish, no fewer than six real goalscoring opportunities went abegging as it was beginning to feel like one of those days when we would get caught on a counter-attack and robbed of victory. Edwards guaranteed our security of the three points as the partisan crowd exhaled.

Recent villain of the Waterhouse Final in the Second Round Final, Leighton Murray saved the day and the game with a blinding right side full length dive. That snatched the Kevin “Pele” Wilson deflected free kick, from dipping into the “Pigeon-hole”: Absolutely brilliant, as the large crowd watched in amazement.

Strike partners, Richard West and the returning Fabian Taylor both spurned great opportunities to extend the score-line when they both shot wide of the goal in the last ten minutes of the game.

Harbour View leads Round Three on 54 points, eight points ahead of the second place Club.
