Under 21:
Harbour View FC 1 August Town 0.
Midfielder Anthony Christie scored in the 78th minute by finishing off a well constructed five man ball movement from the left-back position diagonally to the edge of the penalty area on the right as Christie skillfully outfoxed the advancing goalkeeper to convert.
Premier League:
Harbour View FC 2 August Town 0.
A combative looking August Town came out to fight for every ball tactically and more surprisingly with added physical verve that many times bordered on being vicious particularly by ex-Harbour View aspirant Kadian Lecky.
Daniel Shaw’s trademark shot from distance was the high point of the early exchanges in favour of August Town but Dwayne Miller tipped it over the crossbar for a corner that failed to result in any further danger.
Superior possession made hosts Harbour View gain the advantage thereafter leading to an infringement against Kavin Bryan just outside the area, approximately 20 yards on the left. Oniel Smith’s free-kick was neatly floated into the box as it was headed on at the near post for central defender Christopher Harvey who came forward for the kick, to head in just before it crossed the line inside the far post after 22 minutes.
Constant attempts to breakdown the visitors defenses failed to penetrate the final bastion only as the “Stars of the East” probe and taunted but could not pierce the breaches before the half ended, 1-0.
It would have to happen much later into the game, when on minute 86 a long punt upfield from goalkeeper Dwayne Miller was well controlled by Fabian Taylor with his back to goal he pivoted and struck fiercely on the volley when he turned to soundly defeat the bewildered goalkeeper, Damion Campbell in the 86th minute and close off the game despite August Town throwing their numbers into attacks.
