Dicoy returned to the island on Saturday from Norway, where he was on Trial with the Division 1 Club on a short stay as he was hastily invited to replace another player on trial before the Transfer Window Registration closed on March 31,2010.
Representative, Romel Wallen of Pro-Goals Sports Management who created the opportunity for Dicoy, in association with TSA Sports Agency under the mantle of Jamaica’s first Licensed FIFA Players Agent, Baron Mosiah Marshall.
“Dicoy did quite well on his trial, especially given the last minute nature of how he arrived in Norway. He not only showed the top quality young players HVFC are producing, but also Jamaica at large. As a result of Dicoy’s strong performance, the club not only intends to bring him back this summer; but they are also quite keen on opening the door for more quality Jamaican players.” – Romel Wallen.
Kenneth Karlssen’s (club chairman) quote: “Mjondalen IF are quite intrigued by Jamaican players to play in our League; because they are very athletic, physically powerful, and most importantly they speak english. These factors we think will allow Jamaican players to adapt very well to Norwegian football. We have seen this already with Jamaicans at Notodden FK and Aalesund FK”.
“We are happy for this exposure which Dicoy has experienced in Europe, along with HVFC we intend to prepare him for a greater showing in the Summer”. – B. Mosiah Marshall, TSA.
