In last year’s Premiership run in the third round, it was Boy’s Town 1-0 victory over us at a similar stage that assisted Waterhouse to pass and eventually win the league. Would we repeat that scenario or were we going to rewrite the script to suit ourselves?  Different day, different story.

National Captain, Donald “Foulie” Stewart shook the goal-scoring “monkey of his back” in the 20th  minutes as he spun around to his great surprise to kick home the seemingly waiting ball that practically fell at his feet.

When Xavien Virgo pulled Kavin Bryan to the ground, Jermaine Hue took the awarded freekick which  Fabian Taylor had headed goalwards but succeeded only in hitting Stewart’s back six yards from goal. He graciously welcomed the gift of a goal, while slamming home with his right foot to notch only his second for the season.

Boy’s Town seemed a bit weary following the exhausting Knockout Final lost on Sunday lasting more than two hours, facing an opposition of the calibre of league leaders Harbour View was not at the top of their “Most Wanted” list.

The ”Stars of the East” were in no mood for sympathy as they stroked the ball effortlessly across the well manicured park with authority that belies a champion. Kemeel Wolfe made the attacking moves while Richard Edwards and Jermaine Hue complimented with periodic through balls as the strong cross-field wind factor was causing much concern to the continuity of possession meant to penetrate a steely defensive line.

Byran created runs upfront but was cut down regularly by brutal tackles, punches and blocks that were reduced after the first goal followed one such. Hue shot into the side netting early into the game as Wolfe came closest with a gentle side-footed effort following a methodical construction, he then blasted high soon after. Not to be outdone Taylor curled his attempt just wide as the goalkeeper Philmore Crumbie advanced.

Halftime score: 0-1.

Boy’s Town playing true to form, pushed forward with numbers at the beginning of the second half winning three consecutive corners in a prolonged attack but at last still no goal.  Another Bryan dribble, another infringement just outside the area, another goal results after 67 minutes as Fabian Taylor curls the fierce shot into the bottom right-hand corner of the goal as Crumbie dives in vain left hand grasping at thin air.

Substitutes Rafiek Thomas, Richard West, and Loxely Thomas comes in as replacements for Taylor, Bryan and Wolfe however the LIVE Televised game produces some more dramatic moments only devoid of goals as it ends 0-2.

Harbour View advances to 61 points and gains a eight point lead with five games remaining in the league as the three closest Clubs stumble in the attempt to keep up.
