Village United team fails to show on a school day.

PREMIER LEAGUE:

When the speedster dashed away from the flat-footed defense to slot past goalkeeper Murray it was good enough to edge the muarading “Stars of the East” at the Compound.

Attack after attack was mounted on the Trelawny bastion but all to no avail as goalkeeper Elvis Hart made no less than four game winning saves aided by the hesitance of the Harbour View attackers while in possession inside the penalty box.

Coach Dean Weatherly guided his troops home safely but only just, thankful in the relief of referee Howard Stennet’s reluctance to award no less than three seemingly valid penalty requests.

Twice against Daniel Shaw and once against Kevin King, as Village United defenders threw their bodies onto the opponents confident the appropriate calls were not going to be made on this particular day.

Village United advances to 38 points and joint fourth position, while Harbour View remained leaders on 54 points.
