World Cup Qualifiers held in Jamaica July 21 – 28. 2013.

While Khadija, Trudi and Georgia played in all three games and scored twice, once and once respectively as Georgia was appointed Vice Captain twice and Captained in game Two and Deneisha coming off the bench in the final game three as the secret weapon to assist with a left-sided square to provide the late 89th minute 2-1 winner over arch rivals Cuba.

They progress as one of eight Group qualifiers to the next stage. Canada, as tournament hosts, qualify automatically for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup. Once the continental qualifying tournament has been concluded, the other three nations will join Canada to make up the four CONCACAF representatives in the final competition. The qualification final round will take place in the Cayman Islands from 9 to 19th January 2014.

Congratulations to our HVFC Females Coach, Tamara Williams:

Congratulations to our HVFC Female Coach, Tamara Williams, as one of the three chosen from Jamaica in the inaugural CONCACAF Licensing Programme aimed at certifying 123 coaches across the its 41 Members Associations within the next five years, beginning on August 22 to 25, 2013 in the Cayman islands for the “D Licensing” only.

This while the CONCACAF Under 15 tournament is in progress, they take care of all her course expenses from airfares, hotel, meals and ground transportation.

Congratulations to our HVFC Under 20 players:

Congratulations to our HVFC Under 20 players along with Coach, Ludlow Bernard, who on Saturday afternoon defeated third placed Boys’ Town FC 1-0 in a top of the table clash at the Compound, as the 10 man team scored a 90th minute winner by Demar Rose to moved temporarily into the league leadership to 26 points.

Unfortunately KSAFA, in the well established spirit and rules of a league system of “Fair Play” ethics, it does not schedule all final games to be played on the same day and times hence second placed Waterhouse FC has 25 points and an inferior goal difference before playing fourth placed Arnett Gardens FC on Tuesday, to know the final League Champions, as only with a win for Waterhouse, can anyone surpass HVFC.

All these four clubs goes to the playoff styled finals to follow.
