Goal scoring ace Brian Brown has been working hard all season and has proved to be a striker to be reckoned with from early on.

Scoring consistently at the beginning of the season, he was more greatly recognized by football fans, coaches, officials and players alike. For two months, he hadn’t scored a goal during a game and it seemed for a while as though he may have lost his form as Mckauly Tulloch was finding his, but he quickly recomposed and scored 8 goals in the last 10 games of the season which he played.

Entering the final game before moving to the semi-final stage, Brown had one goal on his mind and that was to secure the boot right then and there. Throughout the season, he has been battling for the top of the goal scoring table with four players from other teams, most of which have previously won the golden boot at the premier league stage whereas Brown hasn’t. At this point, Brown was positioned atop of the table along with Rivoli United’s Devon Hodges, both on 16 goals.

Ironically enough, both Harbour View and Rivoli United were playing their games at the same time, and both Brown and Hodges both found their 17th goal at the 45th minute of their respective games. Brown was overly anxious throughout the game, missing some opportune shots due to his failure to properly settle the ball before striking but he found his deal closer at the 87th minute inching him to the very top. The final game against August Town left with a Harbour View smiling 4 – 0 victory with 2 goals from Brown.

With only the 2 semi-finals and the final left to be played, he is in a comfortable position 8 goals ahead of the next possible golden boot recipient, Newton Sterling of Arnett Gardens. Harbour View proudly congratulates Brown on his hard work. He has won the golden boot at the schoolboy level and is now that much closer to it for the first time at the senior level. We also recognize McKauly Tulloch who was amongst the league’s top 10 scorers and also our other players who have scored and assisted scoring throughout the season.
