HOSTS Arnett Gardens held champions Harbour View to a 0-0 draw in their Digicel Premier League encounter at the Tony Spaulding Sports Complex on Wednesday.
Arnett Gardens signalled their intentions early in the contest with Kirk Ramsey booting his effort wide of the target.
Harbour View got their first clean shot at goal when a corner taken from the left by Romario Campbell was booted towards Ranique Muir who headed the ball in the direction of goal, but it was expertly stopped by goalkeeper Maurice Evans who dipped low to grab it.
The second half was to prove more frustrating for the ‘Junglists’, who failed to capitalise on clearcut opportunities.
Harbour View coach Donovan Hayles said there were a few things he was happy about, including the fact that his team had not conceded any goals for the second straight game.
“We have to start creating the chances,” he said. “We played so badly and got so many chances, so if we had played better we could have got a goal,” Hayles added.
Arnett Gardens coach Paul ‘Tegat’ Davis said it was a work in progress as his team seeks more strikers to help them with their goalscoring challenges.
“I think our forwards need to put themselves in the position to get goals,” he mourned.
