As a football club, HVFC aims to contribute to the growth and development of the game of football at all levels, from the basic to the expert. We emphasize professionalism, which requires committed input from the JFF, the clubs, referees, administrators, potential sponsors/partners, the media, government and the population at large. The work must start now. We encourage serious persons to come on board and let the formulation commence. Our push to professionalism, both locally and abroad, enhances the prowess of all participants and players’ levels of preparedness are noticeably increased.
Our mission is to formulate a fully organized, successful establishment which will act as a positive influence for sports clubs, organisations and persons alike. A properly structured football industry can increase employment and become a net foreign currency earner. Everyone has to believe change starts with themselves. We are no longer purely recreational, but professional and hard-working.
We are a football club, we are public figures, we are friends to the community, we are citizens, we are Harbour View Football club.
Since the days when the eager citizens of Harbour View grouped together at the Harbour View Primary School halls to meet and greet each other, the love of football was always present. Founded along with the Harbour View community in the 1960s, the professional club was officially established on March 4, 1974. The football attraction was mostly centered at the Minor League Under 16 years level up until the 1960s before taking the conscious decision to enter the Major League in September 1974. Officers were elected in the newly-formed football club named after the community simply as Harbour View, which later evolved to the name we know today as Harbour View Football Club.
Harbour View Football Club is a Jamaican football club that is a constant team in the National Premier League.
