As we prepare to arrive home via the tournament sponsors, Cayman Airways at 7:55pm tonight, HVFC would again like to send a big THANK YOU to all parents, schools and club officials for assisting with making this positive experience for the boys possible.
In Cayman Islands, we thank directors and organisers, Virgil and Shannon Seymour, Susan, Lynne, and Natalie, drivers Morris and Dennis Smith + his crew, the Academy of Sports, all tournament sponsors, friends Mark Campbell and CIFA director Bruce Black, Anthony and Marjorie Scott, The Jamaican Consulate to Cayman Islands, The Famous Restaurant, Mr. Woody Foster and Brenda from Foster’s Supermarket, Comfort Inn.
Thanks to our host at the Agricultural Centre in quiet lower Valley, Kerry, and congratulations on your marriage upon our arrival. To our second host at the Prospect Youth Centre, John McMillan as well as Yvette who we missed as she traveled off island, thanks for the warmth of kindness shown. We were also happy to see long-time family friend, Rev. Dave Hazle and his wife, who visited the team.
Most importantly, we’re grateful for the tremendous support and always positive vibes from the entire Hew family; We met Lauren at the airport with Chelsea, who chaperoned us to our campsite. Congratulations Lauren on your prom night, sorry we could not see you that night but we know it must be a lifetime moment to savour. Dad Richard, the CUC official as well as a former player and youth junior school’s football organiser, we thank you and your wife for assistance of tasty Jamaican-flavoured meals cooked by Jamaican chefs from your McDonald’s Restaurant and neighbouring Sports Bar. Mostly, big son Thompson Hew, who never left us and made sure everything worked well, a special thank you for keeping us all in touch, including your original HVFC friends made from our 2012 Friendship Tour.
Finally, to our cherished club sponsors; To the two who were here in Cayman Island, Grace Foods and Lucozade Sports, your products gave us nutrition to compete favourably, thanks as always for the continued support. New local sponsors, Jamaica Public Service (JPS) and Management Control Systems (MCS), we were overwhelmed by your association and look forward to continued longstanding partnerships to create growth for each entity. Caribbean Assurance Brokers, Mr Raymond Walker, Carlton Raymond and Ms. Deneisa Chang and his staff, thank you for once again covering our entire touring party of 23 persons, including 18 players and 5 managers with travel and health insurance throughout the 8-day of the tournament. Last but not least, RUSH Academy in Toronto, Canada through Deon and Bogdan, who coordinated the wonderful high quality Adidas knapsacks, sweatsuits, and two sets of gears at heavily discounted prices for the players and technical staff. RUSH also provided HVFC pennants to exchange with the 5 clubs we played against before games, big respects.
We move forward to focus on our local KSAFA Under-15 league later in the summer.
Thank you all!
