With the recent feature of some of our personnel and scenes at the Compound in KICK TV’s video highlighting football culture in Jamaica, the HVFC pledge received some added spotlight. The video includes Chariman/Founder Carvel Stewart, current HVFC player/ former Reggae Boy Ian Goodison, and former HVFC player/ current Reggae Boy Kemar Lawrence among others, highlighting the Jamaica National Team and football culture in Jamaica.
So many times we take for granted the sterling work done by many amongst us, overlooking the high quality of professionalism contributed freely and disregarding the value of the inspiration invested through the collective love for the sport and dedication to contribute to this little club at Harbour View we all live to serve.
Thank you Steve ‘Stevie G’ Golding, for your creation of the HVFC Pledge, written with the spirit of the club in mind to help guide and inspire our members with a sense of purpose in our deeds. He went on further to register it for our own HVFC copyright protection.
Steve is a world-renowned musician, part of the entertainment duo of Ossie D and Stevie G, former Masters League players who organized internationally-based entertainment at our stadium. They also coordinated, played and operated the HVFC match day public announcement system with entertainment packages including live artistes singing the National Anthem and doing halftime performances; Anything for the club.
Respect always, Stevie G.
