Cavalier defeated Harbour View 2-1 in a crucial Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) game at the Compound on Sunday.
Second-half substitute Donovan Edwards popped up in the final minute of time added to force the win after Girvon Brown had brought the teams level in minute 79 following a goal-mouth tangle.
Defender Christopher Harvey had given home team Harbour View a first-half lead from the penalty spot in minute 37. This was after Jeffery Grant had handled the ball in the area.
Cavalier were winning their second successive game, which moved them to 30 points, while Harbour View were losing their second-consecutive game that knocked them out of a top four on 34 points.
In their last five matches, Harbour View plunged to three defeats and two draws.
In an affair that was exciting throughout, Harbour View completely dominated the first-half and should have left the grounds for the first half break, leading by at least two goals.
When the teams turned around for the second half, for the first 20 minutes or so it was all Harbour View. However, the eagerness to extend the lead apparently got the better of their strikers, especially McKauly Tulloch, who was atrociously wasteful with his shooting.
