For Harbour View’ 50th Anniversary, the committee intends to donate books to the Harbour View Library as well as to the libraries of Donald Quarrie High, Harbour View and St Benedict’s Primary Schools.
We are therefore soliciting from our community members locally and overseas, donations of recently published (circa 2005-present) new or next-to-new story books, reading books and reference books (not encyclopedias) for the age groups 6- adult.
Our objective is to donate approximately 200 books to each library between the end of April 2010, during Grace Kennedy Remittance Services/ Western Union’s Reading Week and the second week in May, that is Child’s Month.
The community in the USA can have books sent to us in Jamaica through a special arrangement we have made with Econocaribe Consolidators Inc.in New York and Miami by April Monday April 19 & Wednesday April 21, 2010 respectively.
All books packaged must be addressed as follows;

Before delivering the shipments to the warehouse, each person or company doing the delivery should contact Eddie, Wilfredo or Diana at the respective tel. #s above to book the shipment. They will issue a booking number (similar to a reservation #) and the person who is delivering is to deliver the packaged books properly addressed and with the booking number issued.
For the Harbour View community members locally who wish to donate books please have them packaged and labelled similarly and contact Michael Jureidini at 3810007-(c) to make possible arrangements for delivery within the stated periods.
