Vin Blaine was voted in as President of the JFCA at their AGM on Saturday, April 3, 2010. The election which took place at the Mico University, also saw Curven Whyte – Vice President; Eric Williams-General Secretary; and Marcus Parkinson – Treasurer, voted into office. Guest speaker at the AGM was Paul Banta, President of Global Soccer Ministries.
Vin Blaine is the current Technical Director of the JFF National Women’s Football Programme. He played on the KC winning Manning Cup team of 1967 alongside the likes of Peter Daniels, Stratton Palmer, Dennie Campbell, Dennis Smith, Ian ‘Yogi’ Gage, John Prescod and Gerry Murray.
The new President hopes that the revived association, which intially started in the latter 1970’s, will serve to galvanize effort of the association and its members to attain recognition and foster the profesional development of the coaches in Jamaica.
