The Harbour View Football Club/Cumax Wealth Youth Reggae Cup kicked off its 2nd staging on Saturday March 11 for a 2-day tournament at our stadium. This showcase came after a successful inaugural event in June 2022. The first Reggae Cup helped shorten a lengthy youth football drought that followed the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2023 Harbour View/Cumax Reggae Cup was categorized into U7, U9, U11, and newly-added U13, with teams from around the island participating in a series of preliminary and playoff games for a share of prizes and bragging rights.
Harbour View FC Youth Development
With so much talent on display at both Reggae Cup events, Harbour View Football Club continues to encourage youth development in Jamaican football. Our hope is that more support and resources be put into the great potential the local football scene may be sitting on, especially at the earlier stages. We will continue to play our part to the best of ability through more events and building young Stars of the East.
* If interested in your young star joining our grassroots programme (ages 5 – 11), please submit this online form to get more details. If interested in developing our youth programme, please contact our office and ask to speak with our General Manager, Clyde Jureidini, about a sponsorship proposal.

HVFC/Cumax Reggae Cup Sponsors
Harbour View Football Club would like to extend a big thank you our sponsors for the 2nd Reggae Cup! Title Sponsor Cumax Wealth Management threw in their support as usual for youth development. Cumax representatives were happily present to meet the young players and present Reggae Cup awards. Cumax Wealth Management officially became a sponsor for Harbour View Football Club’s youth programme in early 2022.
Patrons treated themselves to culinary delights throughout both days from the likes of associate sponsors Cal’s Manufacturing spring water, Purewater purified drinking water, Tastee Patties, and Pop Lab Confections popsicles. They were complemented by our usual stadium vendors who offered pan chicken, hot peanuts, beverages and more filling stomachs and smile. Resident DJ, Muzik Master, played feel-good tunes throughout the days and memorable images were captured by club photographer, Jhunelle J.
HVFC/Cumax Reggae Cup Participating Teams
Harbour View Football Club also greatly thanks the new and returning teams who have participated in the Youth Reggae Cup! This 2nd staging saw a 61% increase in team participation from the 1st, with over 600 young players in 34 teams from 5 parishes. Both days of the event showcased a quality sample of youth football potential in Jamaica through 54 exciting matches. The developed skills coupled with raw talent of the youths from grassroots to adolescent levels was truly a delight to the hundreds of spectators. Even though the HVFC/Cumax Reggae Cup was an introductory competition for a number of the teams, it underscored that quality was not short and that more focus should be given to youth development in Jamaican football.
