Under-13
Our under-13 team worked through the difficulties to create a 4-0 margin at the halftime battling against the strong wind and a fairly organised Brown’s Town unit. Coach Peter Metro had his charges focused, as the ball control and possession were of concern until the aggressive HVFC attacking unit kicked into high gear, with strike partners Tyrese ‘Engine’ Williams and Demarco ‘Ellijah’ Thorne combined to open the defense. Captain, Rojaughn ‘Roro’ Joseph asserted himself in a rare attacking movement to register his first goal of the season from the top of the box.

The second half had much more fluent ball possession and penetration as Williams had his second four-timer of the season, and Demarco notched his third hat-trick from as many games. The spirited resistance from the boys from Vauxhall was dented but not broken, as they continued to put their effort forth. Try as they may, HVFC kept pushing until the final whistle, scoring a penalty in the final play of the game to make it 8-0 to HVFC.

Under-15
Two stunning left-footers from distance flashed pass the Brown’s Town custodian from the boots of left wingback, Ramoye ‘Giggs’ Davis to set the tone early, that HVFC was in it to win it. The game got easier thereafter as the team’s disciplined performance made all the difference in guiding the hosts to pressure the goal throughout the encounter. Nine other goals followed from Ronaldo ‘ Ronar ‘ Robinson (2), Kevar ‘Boysie ‘ Martin (2), Oquassa Chong, Shian Hanson, Shawn Daley, Ronaldo Thomas, plus a bruising own goal to lead HVFC a comfortable 11-0 victory in front of a growing community audience who came out to support the youngsters.
