The Heineken STAR Powered Scrimmage match will be held on Wednesday, March 15th at the University of the West Indies (UWI). The event begins at 3pm, with a celebrity match starting at 4:30pm. It is a 5-a-side match against a UWI student team and Heineken’s Celebrity team, including Theodore ‘Tappa’ Whitmore, Oneal ‘Bigga’ Thompson, Clyde Jureidini (HVFC General Manager), Ian ‘Pepe’ Goodison (former HVFC player) and Rafe Wolfe. UWI teams will compete early for a chance to face off against the celebrity team and take home the glory of competing against some of Jamaica’s finest ‘ballers.

In addition, the final UWI team will win VIP access to the Heineken Fan Powered event (a UCL Trophy Stop) at the National Stadium on March 21st and a chance to participate in the Heineken STAR Powered Work Shop on March 22nd which will feature UCL Ambassador, Ruud van Nistelrooy.

Each of the celeb players in the scrimmage match will also be awarded $50,000 each towards a charity of their choice, courtesy of Heineken Jamaica. The charity chosen by our General Manager to receive the gift of $50,000 is the St. Mark’s Basic School in the Harbour Drive area at the foot of Bayshore.
