Many-time HVFC Coach and former player, Donovan ‘DV’ Hayles, has recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer and needs our prayers, love and support as his journey begins to beat this illness.

As many of you know, it is expensive to receive treatment and he needs financial support. Another former Harbour View player and resident, Michael ‘Fateye’ Thompson, has organized a GoFundMe page for the cause.

Let us rally around our brother and help him. Any donation, no matter how big or how small, will not go unnoticed and it is very much appreciated! The money raised will be used solely for medical expenses. If you are unable to donate, passing on the message could also play a considerable role in getting others to contribute.

A former Manning Cup & Harbour View FC goalkeeper, DV began his coaching career at Harbour View in 1976 with the Minor League team, and has since led us to success at all levels, including the National Premier League title. He has also coached at the school level at his alma mater Kingston College (KC) in 2012, then at Hydel High School before resigning last year. He also played Sunlight Cup cricket for KC and was a member of the national football squad in the 1980s.
