DEVON HODGES SCORES WINNER FOR SNLA TO LEAD VIETNAMESE LEAGUE!

National striker, Devon Hodges scored a header from the right sided cross to pip Hoang Anh Gia Lai 1-0. His third league goal this season. He substituted for Kavin Bryan in the 55th minute, Andre Fagan played all 90 minutes. SNLA are now a point in the lead at the top of the league table, as the season reaches it midway two weeks break.

 ANTIGUA BARRACUDAS FC HITS THE TOP OF THE INTERNATIONALS LEAGUE STANDING IN OPENING USL PRO SEASON:

 Bolstered by the addition of two jamaicans Christopher Harvey (HVFC) and Newton Sterling (AGFC) in their lineup, the new USL Pro Franchise has made a good start to the maiden campaign after a shaky start at home losing to LA Blues 1-2, with HVFC’s Akeem Priestley in the team, at The Sticky-Wicket Stadium, a few weeks ago.

Harvey and Sterling then joined in at the second game defeating Seville FC of Puerto Rico 4 -1 at home before going on the road.

In their third away games they have notched up 3 wins on a roll as Coaches, Charlie Naimo’s Los Angeles Blues took on Tom Curtis’s Antigua Barracuda FC when they met yesterday at Titan Stadium on the campus of California State University, Fullerton, in Fullerton, California.

A 24th minute goal by Antigua Barracudas FC forward Steffan Smith made all the difference.

DICOY WILLIAMS PLAYS IN 1-1 TFC DRAW WITH COLUNMBUS CREW AT BMO, IN MLS!

Harbour View FC and National defender, Dicoy Williams starting at the heart of the MLS Franchise, Toronto FC for the first time last weekend with a 1-1 draw at home against Columbus Crew where he had an outstanding game.

He could not stop an away defeat as Seattle was too much for Toronto FC on Saturday night.

Dwayne Miller exceptional as Ljungskile SK 1-1 Syrianska FC in Sweden Premier League!

Ljungskile – Skenderovic scored a last-gasp equaliser to cancel out Smedberg’s first-half opener as Dwayne Milller (HVFC) kept Syrianska FC in the game in Sunday evening’s thrilling clash at Starke Arvid’s arena.

Syrianska FC struggled throughout the first half as Ljungskile effectively stopped every attempt from the “Suryoye” to create openings.

The home team Ljungskile dominance would be rewarded. In the 36th minute, as Barsom loses the ball in the middle to Erik Nilsson, who passes the ball to Michel Thomas who in turn finds the Ljungskile captain Smedberg to make no mistake for his third goal of the season.

Ljungskile had a couple of chances in the first half which could increase the lead for the home team but the Syrianska FC keeper Miller became a living wall. Syrianska FC had to wait until the second half for their first shot on goal.

In half time Coach Melkemichel, switching to 4-4-2 instead of a 4-5-1 lineup. Syrianska FC came out and attacked but Ljungskile made it hard for Syrianska FC and was a couple of times really close to making it two- nil up. Miller made a couple of terrific saves. A stunning long-range drive by Smedberg forced a good save from Miller. Even Kitic tested Miller from 20 meters and Ljungskile came close to a second but Dwayne Miller blocked the shoot.

Syrianska FC’s efforts paid off in the 92nd minute when Skenderovic crashed in a header from a Barsom cross to bring a hard earned 1-1 point back to Södertälje.

Vålerenga and Luton Shelton advances to Round 2 Norwegian Knockout!

Luton Shelton (HVFC) scores twice as Norwegian Premiership Club Valarenga trashes Olden Borg by 12-1 at Frogner Stadium to register their highest scoring record.

Vålerenga went easily as expected pass the first championship round on Sunday night.

Fourth Division team Olden Borg was beaten 12-1 in front of 1750 spectators.

An offensive set Vålerenga went straight into attack at Frogner Stadium and sent the VIF in the lead. Fegor Ogude doubled the lead with a very hard shot. Luton Shelton 24TH and 28th minute strikes, along with Mohammed Fellah was behind the next three scoring opportunities as Isaac Boakye provided for 6-0 lead at the break.

In the second half, the Coach replaced Bojan Zajic and Luton Shelton.
