Coaches, Sydney McFarlane and Vincent Stubbs were heartened on Sunday afternoon with the large turnout of Community Supporters, Fans, Family and players who flocked to the HVFC Stadium to watch the HVFC Under 13 Team compete against the visiting Cayman Island team on a three match 3 day tour of Jamaica to build bounds of friendship, fraternity and future in football.

This was organized under the guidance of legendary Jamaican football Coach, Winston Chung-Fah who was at the fore-front the group of 40 players, parents and Coaches from the neighbouring island.

Recovering from illness recently “Chungie” as he is affectionately known, was always instrumental in promoting this synergy, since discussions started last year.

The lively and competitive games drew many ooh’s and ahh’s from the passionate crowd who cheered on their respective teams, as both young teams played with 100% commitment of effort.

HVFC defeated the visitors 2-1 in the “A” Game and 0-0 in the Reserves game.

Cayman Islands arrived on Friday, playing against Vaz Prep (1-1) and Lannaman’s Prep (1-1) on Saturday morning, before returning to Cayman on Monday.
