Premier League:

The fifteenth minute marked the return of leading striker Luton Shelton goalscoring prowess after injury had sidelined him for the last five games to win by 1-0.

Donald Stewart robbed a midfielder on the half line before shunting to the running Kevin King down the left flank.

He crossed one-time into the path of Shelton who smashed it on the volley, hitting the hands of the advancing goalkeeper Gavin Barrett to continue on its way into the back of the net.

It proved to be the isolated penetration in the game as both goalkeepers brought-off fantastic blocks, saves and over the crossbar tips to weather the goalmouth storms frequently throughout the game.

Ryan Thompson smartly responded on no less than three occasions to save the day, even close to the end of full time. His most exacting being the twenty fifth minute 24 yard bomb from Daniel Ricketts which expertly finger-rolled over the crossbar for a corner kick.

Digicel Player of the Game:

Hv-wadada0503Thompson must have come very close to being named “Harbour View Player of the Game” but that honour went to Kevin King while Captain Daniel Ricketts was selected from Wadadah. Both Players won expensive top of the line Cellular Phones from Digicel, the game Sponsor who gave away two other Cell phones to a lucky Media Videographer and the Special Prize a Motorola” Razor” high end phone to a beaming Patron. Many games were played to win Thousands of Dollars in phone Card Credit and a “Goalscoring from the Halfline Contest”.

Riding Carnival style on the back of a 40 foot Trailer bed, fully decked in Gold and Blue Colours, Jam One Discotheque blasting Reggae hits, Buxton flying his flag, players Deejaying lead by Donald “Foulie” Stewart and Betty “B” the Digicel Sponsored Event and the Harbour View Football Club was well received.

Harbour View Players inclusive of the complete Premier League Squad, Females, Cheerleaders, Under 21, First Kickers, Coaches, Managers and President Sydney Masters all toured the Community Saturday morning going Road-toRoad to meet and greet the residents who came out gleefully in their numbers to warmly embrace the Club on both sides of the riverbed, Caribbean Terrace and in both Hillside.
