After registering their first draw (1-1) in the season earlier in the week against lowly Rivoli United at Spanish Town Prison Oval. Oniel “Bigga” Smith’s 54th minute header saves the blushes as Derrick Planter’s first half freekick treatened to sidetrack runaway leaders Harbour View FC.

The lone goal scored by Michily Waul marked his best game for this season as he finished of a good two man combination of a series of one-two passes between Kemar Petrekin and himself to place beyond the reach of the goalkeeper in minute 38th.
PREMIER LEAGUE:
On a jam packed New Years Day the large crowd streamed into the Drewsland Stadium for the 5:30pm start to witness the top of the table clash for vital points and Round Two leadership honours.
Both teams undefeated in the Round and jointly holding the leading positions in Round Two with 22 points each, were eyeing the League leadership race separated by an eleven (11) point difference in addition to confirming places in the End of Round Final scheduled for Sunday, January 22 at the National Stadium.
The combative game was full of high intensity play, laced with flair and style as Club supporters were riveted to their seats as Harbour View dominated the proceedings and Waterhouse hit back on the counter-attack to generate tension filled moments as Jomo Gordon came closest in response to the raids launched by strike partners Luton Shelton and Richard West. Loxely Thomas timed his arrival perfectly in minute 34 to finish a well orchestrated build up from Ricardo Smith’s cross that was headed back into his path by West at the back post. His thunderous right footer crashed into the roof of the net before he, arms outstretched, flew away to the corner of the ground to silence the home crowd until halftime at 1-0.
Enter master of escapism Kevin Lamey at the break, he makes an almost immediate impact in minute 54 when Ryan Thompson fails to hold a high cross but punches it instead effectively keeping the ball alive to see it won again and played across the area by Damion “Dutty man” Powell for a now free Lamey to tap home at the unprotected far post.
Yet another high cross this time from Richard West found the head of Shelton to power home from 13 yards past advancing goalkeeper Richard McCallum to re-establish the lead at 2-1 in minute 79. The game is wide open in the second half as both teams go “Hell for Leather” as chances are missed by West as he dives into the six yard box, Shelton is blocked and Blackburn shoots wide followed by Thomas close in. Lamey drives a speculative shot well wide, Powell hits from distance and Gordon is getting closer.
Surprisingly both coaches keep the game open and the crafty Lamey steals his opportunity to grab the equaliser in time added on, when closely marked and his back to goal he creates an overhead kick to catch the custodian Thompson wrong footed as he attempt to rush of his line to intercept the play. Too late, too late as Lamey his teammates and the entire Waterhouse community celebrates the late strike to gain a 2-2 draw and joint leadership of Round Two as well as confirming both teams for the second End of Round Final on 23 points.
Round Two leaves Harbour View on 50 points, eleven points ahead of the second place Club Waterhouse on 39 points.
