Slowly, we readied ourselves for the trip home on the rescheduled Cayman Airways 5:50pm flight to Kingston to arrive at 7pm.
Breakfast was informal as everyone chatted, mingled and packed baggage to depart. Clean up commenced post-lunch, which was catered by a neighbouring restaurant and administered by the aunt of player, Ron-jay Watson. The pleasant Marjorie Chambers-Scott visited after church to exchange gifts and warm greetings from her husband, Anthony.
We headed to the airport by 3:30pm for our flight courtesy of the faithful Dennis, missing the third-place playoffs and finals that night which was won by Cavalier SC and Cuba’s National team respectively.
Players, parents and coaches met up at the airport to share the joyous experiences of the last week on and off the field. School the following day and the training in the week to continue preparations for the local KSAFA competition commencing in July or August.
