Director of football at the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) Vin Blaine will attend a strategic and planning meeting organised by CONCACAF to review current coaching licence programmes being implemented by a number of CONCACAF countries.

The meeting will be held today and tomorrow in Miami.

The meeting is part of an effort by the development division of CONCACAF to come to some sort of consensus on equivalency of coaching licences in CONCACAF ahead of discussing equivalency at the Confederation level with UEFA and the other four Confederations.

Seven national associations will be represented. These are Canada, Trinidad and Tobago, Costa Rica, Mexico, USA, Honduras and Jamaica.

Each federation will present on how coaching licences are awarded from D to A; hours of study; content and general requirements.

The JFF is pleased with this development as a major objective of its coaching education and licensing programme was the synchronisation within and outside of CONCACAF with very positive opportunities for Jamaican coaches.
