ARNETT Gardens’ dominance of this season’s JFF/PLCA Under-21 League continued at the Collie Smith Complex after they defeated Harbour View, 2-0, for back-to-back End-of-Round titles.

Lamar Nelson, who made the switch from the East Kingston club only recently, back to his community club, opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 50th minute.

National invitee Javoni Simms sealed the victory for the Lijyasu Simms-coached Arnett in the 61st.

Assistant coach Byron Earle said despite the two previous meetings ending in draws, he always knew they were good enough to beat their rivals and they intend to go all the way this season.

Arnett, with a host of talent, including Ricardo Oldham, Mikhail George, Fabian Reid, Jason Moore, Nelson and Simms, started the brighter of the teams.

Arnett continued where they left off in the first half and five minutes after the break, Kemo Wallace brought down Nelson inside the box and the crafty midfielder picked himself up and calmly slotted past Ashtek Taylor.

Eleven minutes later, Arnett added a second when Reid broke behind the Harbour View defence and fired at goal. And although Taylor parried his effort, Simms was on hand to tuck away the rebound.
