After the new Premier League format threw two surprise away games at the start, the balance had to be restored at some time and it happened in December at the end of Round 1 and the start of Round 2, when we had three Home Games in a row.
In October, Express Fitness Gym came onboard to give away T-Shirts, game day tickets, free gym classes and memberships.
Christmas season beckoned and our marketers went to work with Supligen, Lucky Dollar Appliances and Furniture Store, and Gas Pro to all stage various pre-game, match day and post-game giveaways to surprise many lucky patrons, players and social media activists, just to make the season brighter.
Gate prizes, guest artistes, cakes from FirstKick kids and parents, food, drinks, and halftime entertainment had the whole place rocking, snapping photos and sharing videos like crazy. Express Fitness’ t-shirt giveaways had patrons coming out early to try earn a branded shirt; Nestle Supligen’s five football giveaways and flavour samplings turned persons flocking to get a taste of the variety and catch a ball to take home; Lucky Dollar’s mascot dog ‘Lucky’ had the kids and elders cuddling up to photos along with their halftime show by dancing Puppet ‘Skelesha’ (click here to view video); Gas Pro’s many giveaways of gas cylinders, head scarves, key rings, pens and more had patrons scrambling to try get their hands on a piece of merchandise. LIME was also present, giving away a smartphone and cellphone, credit, and ad the stadium rumbling with it’s branded mobile music automobile!The fun was enjoyed by all.
The big gate prize of a 21” flat screen TV courtesy of Lucky Dollar was won by a very happy young lady from the Bayshore Area above the HVFC Stadium, as too the long time Harbour View male resident who walked away ecstatic with his prize of free gas cylinder courtesy of Gas Pro.
