After three games, Harbour View had yet to return to their known form only securing 2 points after a loss and two draws. Yesterday’s game result was well-received by the team and supporters alike at the National Stadium as the featured game of the season’s first double header where HVFC recorded their first win.

In his first appearance this season, Ranique ‘BG’ Muir played the full 90 minutes and made sure to make his presence known on the field. Charged with momentum early on in the game, Muir opened the scoring in the 3rd minute to put his team up 1 – 0, but opponents Boys’ Town found the answer for that goal but a minute later, silencing our supporters in the midst of the celebration. Fellow striker McKauly Tulloch had fans roaring once again, regaining the lead a few minutes shy of the half time whistle giving a 2 – 1 advantage going into the second half of the game.

Muir, however, seemed to be on a mission trying to capitalize with every touch he got on the ball. He was found in the box from both the left and right flanks by Tulloch then Isaacs to bury two further goals, earning him a well-deserved hat-trick.

“It’s an amazing feeling to play my first match this season and to score a hat trick, also the first hat trick for me at this level. It’s an exceptional start to build on going forward for myself and my team” an elated Muir expressed. “We played as a team in attack and defense. We work for each other and I think that’s what got us the victory in the end”.

Harbour View left a defeated Boys’ Town trailing 4 – 1 after full time.
