The Antigua and Barbuda Premier Division is the top football league in Antigua and Barbuda and consists of 10 teams and 18 games. For the last two seasons, a handful of HVFC alumni have been playing in the league.

kelly-hoppersAfter 47 years’ in the league, Greenbay Hoppers FC – home of HVFC alumnus Keith ‘Bravo’ Kelly (depicted right) – can now be listed amongst the elitist football clubs in Antigua & Barbuda after claiming their first Premier Division title last month. The feat was cemented when their challengers for the title, Empire FC, was beaten in a must-win game to stay in the running. Hoppers’ win that week propelled them to 38 points and had them claim the league title before the season’s conclusion; They ended the season last week on 41 points.

Grenades FC, which houses four HVFC alumni – Christopher ‘Jamel’ Harvey, Michaud ‘Button’ Barrett, Damian ‘Boy Boy’ Harwood (5 goals), Lamar ‘Panucci’ Hodges – finished the league second in the standings with 36 points.
