Under 21 starts with a 2-0 win at home.

The much delayed start of the Under 21 League got underway yesterday with a goal in each half by Ondino Griffiths and Dennis Neish lead the two time finalists to begin with a good victory at home.

Digicel has come on board to assist with Two (2) Million Dollars to the JFF and so the League will be played only on Sundays as a curtain raiser to the Premier League games until the completion of the third Round.

Premier League:

hvfc_seba05Early afternoon light showers made the surface slick and fast as the ball skidded across the turf the players chased hastily in pursuit, the coaches instructed caution and control but the game swung like a pendulum, to and fro at both ends before Lovel Palmer converted only to be ruled offside after 6 minutes.

The nerves settled, the instructions heeded and the danger averted Seba tried to pass around the ball at the back still confronted by snapping attackers trying to win the ball.

Dodd found King down the right only to be fouled just outside the box. Dodd continued the attack via the free kick in minute 16 for Loxely Thomas to head home at the far post.

Minute 28 produced goal number two as King beat his man twice on the right before switching to the left foot to blast against the crossbar from the shoulder of the custodian. The deflection fell to strike partner Richard West who stroked home out of reach of everyone from 8 yards, registering his first goal for Harbour View.

Kemar James broke the Harbour View defenses twice but his first shot blocked by goalkeeper Leighton Murray his second chance was headed wide at the near post.

He however would return in the second half when Seba held the advantage of possession to turn two

defenders and shoot accurately to score the consolation goal after 65 minutes.

Marcelino Blackburn again provided an attacking spark as a substitute but his opportunity created by West was pulled into the side netting, as too the header from Kevin King to retain the 2-1 score line.

Harbour View maintained sole leadership of the League on 15 points.
