Harbour View and Reno FC battled to a sensational 3-3 draw in their Red Stripe Premier League match at Compound yesterday.

Reno raced into a two-goal advantage courtesy of goals by Afiba Chambers and Craig Foster in the 16th and 54th minutes, respectively, and seemed well on their way to a deserved victory.

But Harbour View, spurred on by their small throng of supporters, rallied with three goals in three minutes by John Ross Edwards (81st), Kemar Lawrence (83rd) and substitute McKauly Tulloch (84th). At that staged, it appeared Harbour View had the victory in the bag.

But Reno were not to be denied a share of the spoils in an enthralling encounter as Foster popped up to slot home in the 89th minute for the levelling goal.

The promoted Reno from Westmoreland, moved to five points and temporarily maintain their position at the top of the league after three matches.

Harbour View, on the other hand, remained winless from three games and inched to two points in 10th spot and will have to improve significantly to make an impact in this year’s competition even though the season is still young.

The Andrew Hines-coached ‘Stars-of-East’ lacked verve, and for the first time in many years, looked out of character.

In fact, at 0-2 down, Harbour View were lucky to be in the game as Foster waltzed past the advancing goalkeeper and with the empty goal in front of him, he watchedas his harmless shot was cleared by a recovering defender.

That was the lifeline the host need and when Hines introduced Tulloch and Damion Harwood in the 71st minute, they found a new lease on life and gave their fans something to cheer about with three quick goals.

Reno, to their credit, never gave up even as the faced the Harbour View late blitz, and hung on for a share of the points.
