Jamaican Coach, Altimont “Freddie” Butler achieves Championship honours and promotion to Norway’s Tippeligaen as Sogndal wins Division 1 while kicks-off the Academy in November.
Sogndal IL won the second division title with an accumulation of 55 points over a span of 27 games and joins the elite group of Norwegian clubs next season in the Tippeligaen.
Academy 2010/11
Freddie Butler is looking forward to the academy starting November 1, 2010 after recently joining the Norwegian Club.
Freddie Butler, which this year will be the main instructor at the academy, looking forward to the academy starting 01 November.
He has just concluded a 3-week long stay in England, where he has taken the UEFA C course and host the visiting club in Chelsea. Butler wants to continue the basic progress in the academy, with a focus on individual skills, knowledge and attitude.
Butler says that: “I want to contribute my experience in life as a top player and practicing, and be able to add conditions to ensure that those who want to be able to develop as footballers.”
Academy coordinator Sebastian Kaldestad are very pleased to have been a resource that Freddie on the team “Freddie is an outstanding practicingCoach, which is very good 1 to 1 and has a special ability to bring out the best in the players he works with.” In addition to Butler, Havard Flo comes to help again this year. ” “The level of administration this year is very high and the basis for good player development is definitely present” continue Kaldestad.
The Academy starts on November 01.
When all the boys and girls born from 1995 to 2000 are invited to the CONSTRUCTION Room in Sogna Hall at 3:00pm, where you get to meet this year’s instructors and information about the program, which means that anyone who wants to, can join in to tryout in the first week of the Academy.
Mini-Academy
Freddie Butler will also take part to help the Mini Academy and says that, “although the high activity and play should be on display among the youngest, it is important that we get a clear understanding of the talent as players come into the system and look to move upwards “, the Academy which starts Saturday 06 November, and continues with classes on weekends until the end of March.
